I have no Air in my chart, but does having planets in Air houses compensate that?

You have two planets in Air, Jupiter and Saturn. A chart with no Air has no Air at all by sign or house. There are 10 placements in a bassic natal. With 2 of those placements in Air, your chart is 20% Air. I have no planets in air signs. All of my air houses (3,5,7) are empty. My chart is consider to have no Air. But I have a very strong Mercury as part of a Virgo stellium. It more than compensates. If I had any planets in Air house they would furhter compensate . There are books that go more indepth about this. One is titled something like The Magic Thread. Having a small amount of an element is not the same as completely lacking the element.
