How Can I Find The Height Without A Ruler?

Impossible. You HAVE to have something to compare it with, of which you already know, however imperfectly, the height. Otherwise, well its as high as it is tall ! Anything counts as a mathematical tool in such a circumstance, even if it's only a piece of string. I suspect this is rather a stupid question from a somewhat thoughtless teacher.
