How likely is it that i can give my boyfriend herpes if we don't use a condom?

I have herpes and my boyfriend doesn't and we want to have unprotected and oral sex. i want to know if im taking my medication for herpes how likely is it that i can pass it to him orally or genitally. only people who have herpes please comment. need to hear someone else's point of view who has it and lives a normal healthy life.
