Why is lucifer considered the bad guy all the time?

It is people that decide to steal, murder and lie. Just because he left "heaven" doesn't mean he is evil... the reason he left is because he didn't like the decision of "heavens" ruler. Why must people blame him for all wrong. He is the one who brings knowledge.
